Thanks to everyone who turned up today to make
this an enjoyable outing.
Shame on "Calum Maclean" for celebrating Scotland's win the night
before and having a hangover from hell.
Shame on "David Graham" for deciding he had to work early.
Shame on "Wullie MacAlister" who got wet on Saturday and
therefore could not go out again??
Shame on "The Gibbo" who woke up with a hangover even though he had been
drinking Coke the night before, but forgot to tell his body.
"Graham Horn" could no go but decided to do it himself the next
day.

The day was overcast with slight drizzle to begin with and there where a
lot of long trousers on the go. But after a quick discussion as to the
fact that Jackie had on shorts we had to strip off. Years of Wading up
cold rivers have hardened her..
Well it could have been a disaster... but it went ok.
I forgot the gate key and was heckled like mad!
Bruce was given the choice of two time pieces and chose the wrong one..
mines.
If we had had the gate key Donald would have been down at the bottom of
the hill and we would not have had any times at all as Bruce buggered up
my stop watch.
NO he did not... But there is a new one coming...

The course had been taped off to make it easier to follow and had been
swept so there would be no accidents but "Jim Keenan" forgot that and
went head over heels on the second lap.

The course was muddier than the last time and the wind was stronger so
it was a credit to everyone as we all improved our time.
In fact "Jackie" was 1 hour 20 mins quicker!!! Well Done "Jackie"!
"Vanessa" was 1 min 1 second quicker!
Considering your condition this was great!
"Allan Parker" - Well done 2 laps this time and looking good.
"Allan Noble" 21 mile time trial the day before and an extra 20 miles
back home plus this... Fantastic and not a true reflection on you time.
"Stevie Macinnis" Pretty poor showing really, only 3 seconds up on last
time you must try harder "Stevie".
Young "Robbie" gave a brilliant first race and looks a very promising
cyclist.
The fact that his mother was throwing stones at us and trying to chuck
branches between our wheels on the way round and screaming and swearing
at us not to overtake her boy shows true motherly Love.
"Dave Beere" had his first go today and was glad to be still alive after
it and promises that when he gets his new bike there will be trouble.

There was a prize giving afterwards and our sponsors where amazing in
there generosity. Unfortunately on the way home "Dave Beere's" "Honking
Horn" prize fell out his Pocket (so he says ) and was lost. But!!! it
was found again by a tourist and handed into the police. His "Honking
Horne" should be with him soon and family life will never be the same
again.
Thanks to Robbie's mum for offering to do first aid on me but I had to
refuse as (Heavens above woman), Allan and Stevie had not seen my blood
by that time!
Will get our thinking caps on for 2 weeks time should it be a race or a
day out ? Mystery tour ?...the decision is yours
Good News... Hot News... Hot News... Donald is Coming out of
Retirement!
