The time trial today was Cold... NO... it was "Really Cold", in fact, No... "It was Really Really Cold!!!"

Thanks to all the regulars who turn out no matter what the weather is like and no matter how they feel. Nice to see a couple of new bodies there "Alan Davidson" and "Sam Downing" who where a little wary of what it was all about.

 There was a Christmas feel about this event as there was Tinsel popping out of Allan's Cycle Helmet and the bikes where full of Christmas spirit as they kept falling off the back of the van.

Was this a cry for freedom knowing Jackie was going to sit on it again I ask you? Bruce started us all off with a "1 - 2 - 3"   * bang * and screaming of "GO!" and off we went...

 "Alan Parker" took off like a bat out of hell, but Robbie was in the lead closely followed by the Gibbo, who  admitted afterwards  it was hard to shake him off and it was not until the after the bridge that he started to pull away (Hills Robbie... Training is starting soon)

There was a lot going on like Sam missing the turn off to the bridge and heading to Glengorm (everyone I have told how to turn to the bridge over the last 2 years misses it.. wonder why?)

 Anyway he got back but on the last climb he broke his chain... He had the embarrassment of Jackie and Ruth trying to fix it for him, but fix it they did!  Well done!.

Alan Davidson took his time as he did not know where he was going and decided not to listen to my instructions as he had been well warned, so he decided to stay with Ruth and Jackie till the bridge.

   Sam and Allan you know where the route is now so if you want to try it on your own over the festive period, if we don't have another outing  do so and send me your time. It will help you gauge how you are doing next year.
