Alan rang on Friday to say the snow would be too bad for us to go to
Laggan and Jackie's driving wasn't very good but we decided to go
anyway.
Mum said she would drive with her crutch on the accelerator if Jackie
was no good.
So we got as far as Fort William on Saturday night and had a very
healthy McDonalds for dinner followed by lots of chocolate. Mum and
Jackie got pissed in the hotel and kept me up all night. Jackie threw
crisps around and managed to eat a full box of Pringles - we got crumbs
all over Mum's bed and there was a real mess on the floor.

We annoyed Jackie by watching Match of the Day cos Newcastle won 3-0.
She did not understand the football but gave footballers marks out of 10
for their haircuts and sex appeal.
Jackie got bad hiccoughs but at least she didn't talk anymore. Mum was
even more annoying as she said that Sunderland played well. I could not
hear properly so I watched the repeat of the football again in the
morning.

There was lots of snow so we set off early to go to Laggan and Mum said
there was not time for breakfast at MacDonalds. Jackie drove very slowly
and I think she probably hasn't got a driving licence. We got to Laggan
and met Jim and Georgina. Jim was trying to get the race cancelled as it
was too cold.

The race started off well and I went up to fourth. Then loads of people
overtook me going up the hill. I followed seven people down the trail
but the guy at the front fell off so I managed to get past them all.

The trail was fast and very muddy and slushy with a few jumps which
resulted in me landing on a tree stump and breaking my front brake and
snapping the spokes in my rear wheel. Thankfully no-one was watching or
I would have been severely laughed at. After that I managed to complete
the end of the lap but had to pull out because of damage to the bike.

This was very lucky for Jim as I was beating him.
